He asked... I said YES!

Mexico Beach - September 6, 2014 - We became ENGAGED!

On September 6, 2014 Lj took me on a surprise trip to Mexico Beach. This trip was to celebrate 4 years of dating. Very romantic. One night while walking on the beach together... hand in hand... we decided to sit down on some old wooden chairs and just take in the beauty of the star filled sky. He told me that he was going to draw something for me in the sand... and for me not to look yet! So... I did the same for him. If I recall correctly... I drew two stick figures... a man and woman holding hands... with a heart between them. (We do this often! ha!)
I tell him my surprise drawing is ready for him to see... so he stands up and walks to my side of the chair, where I had drew my masterpiece... he laughed and kissed me and told me it was beautiful. Then he said, "Okay... my turn. Go look at mine!"
I walk over to his side of the old wooden chair... and look down... in the sand... he had wrote,
 "Will you marry me?"
I spin around to look at him... and he is down on one knee with a box open in his hands with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen in my life... I am speechless and honestly feel as if I could faint at any given moment. I throw my hands over my mouth... he says... "Will you marry me?" I drop to my knees in front of him and hug his face... I start crying.. not realizing that I have yet to agree. He very nervously pulls away from me... and says, "Are you going to say yes or what... because if you say no... I seriously am going to jump in the ocean and just float away!" Haha! He was so nervous... we were both shaking from head to toe. I laughed so hard! Between the tears and huge smile I had across my face... I finally got the "Yes, of course I will marry you" to come out of my mouth! Ha! He put the ring on my finger and we stayed right there in the sand hugging, crying, laughing, and just taking in the moment for a good five minutes. The first person I called that night was my best friend Sherry! She literally screamed in the phone! We told our family the next day! Seriously one of the happiest weekends of my life!

Our baby boy started school!!

Pre-K here he comes!

On August 25, 2014 our handsome little man had his very first day of school! He was in Mrs. Connie's pre-k class! He was very nervous. Yes, there were a few tears, but most of them came from the parents! He cried only for a little while, but as soon as we all left, he was fine. He had an amazing teacher, and adjusted very quickly. At just the age of 5, he wanted you to pack his lunch every single day (he loved his camo lunchbox with his name on it) and he had to have his clothes tucked in and matching perfectly. He is such a little perfectionist already! Ha! He made a few friends - Jasper, Luke, Logan, and Wilder. He did wonderful with his homework and when given "words" to study and learn... he excelled greatly in this! Such a competitive little boy! He would stay up all night until he got every single word right! If he had to learn 3... he wanted to learn 10! I guess this is why he scored 100% in all of his assessment testing this year. He was the only child in his grade to achieve this. We are very very proud of our little man!

Homeowners

After dealing with Wells Fargo Mortgage Company for a little over 3 months... on August 28, 2014 we finally closed on our very 1st home! It was a very stressful task... but also fun to accomplish this together. I must saying... it is a nice feeling to come home to YOUR house at the end of the day. We are so blessed!

Im back!!

So it has been a VERY long time since I have been on my blog. You know how life gets... BUSY BUSY  BUSY! So... since my last post... ALOT has happened!

1.) LJ and I bought our very first home together!! Yes, we are home owners! Whoop! Whoop!
2.) Our little runt started pre-k! He was a little scared at first, but within time came around. He did awesome! We actually just discovered about a week ago that he scored 100% on all of his pre-k assessments. He was the only student in his age group to achieve this. We are so very proud of him. He is now on his way to Kindergarten! Where does the time go?
3.) On September 6th, 2014 Lj took me to the beach to celebrate our 4 year anniversary together... little did I know it was the beginning of yet another amazing thing. He proposed!!! It was the most romantic moment of my life... I will fill you in on all the details later! ;)
4.) On November 1st, 2014... I became Mrs. Lindsey Rebecca Ray! We had an adorable little southern rustic wedding on the beautiful Lake Talquin. Burlap and Lace, Cowboy Boots and Jean Jackets. It was perfect!
